23 November 2010: TRILLIUM PARTNERS ADVISES ELECTRIC WORD ON THE ACQUISITION OF RADCLIFFE PUBLISHING

Trillium Partners (Trillium), the independent corporate finance advisory firm, has advised Electric Word plc (Electric Word), the AIM-listed specialist information publisher, on the acquisition of Radcliffe Publishing Limited (Radcliffe). The transaction was completed on 23rd November, 2010.

Founded in 1987, Radcliffe is a UK-based specialist publisher focused on professional development and compliance in general practice and primary healthcare. It has established itself as the UK market leader, publishing a range of books, journals and training packages for this growing market.

Trillium specialises in M&A, financial restructuring and fund raising transactions and corporate finance advice. The firm has a core expertise in information products and digital media, providing support for clients as they undertake transactions to position themselves for sustainable future growth in digital revenues.

Trillium advised Electric Word on all aspects of the acquisition. In particular, Trillium: (a) facilitated and conducted bilateral and multi-party negotiations with various stakeholders including Electric Word, Radcliffe shareholders and their advisers; (b) coordinated the acquisition and due diligence process and communicated with Electric Word’s various other advisers, as well as with the sellers and their advisers; and (c) assisted Electric Word with modelling and valuation, and helped to explore funding options.
